ATC Residency, Class of 2021-2022

Kiera Mattern is a native to Aurora, Colorado. She received her BS in Athletic Training from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado before attending Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas to complete her MS in Kinesiology. Prior to becoming a Resident Athletic Trainer with VSON, Kiera worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lamar University where she provided primary care to the Cardinal softball team.


When she is not treating patients, Kiera enjoys reading, baking, and hiking with her dog, Piper. Kiera is very excited to be a part of the VSON team and is eager to serve the Vail Valley community.  

Cameron Motsinger is a native of the Carolinas, Cameron was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She ventured to East Carolina University to earn a BA in Athletic Training. She completed her graduate assistantship at College of Charleston while earning an MA in Sport Management at The Citadel. Her love for the beach kept her in Charleston, SC for five years working alongside an orthopaedic surgeon at Roper St. Francis Healthcare.


Gaining exposure to a full-time clinic role, Cameron knew VSON was the setting she wanted to be and completing a residency program was the perfect way to acquire the additional skills needed to be an integral part of the healthcare team. 

Travis Hannstad is originally from Edgar, WI. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. During his two years of graduate school, Travis worked in the NFL as a summer intern with the Buffalo Bills and was a graduate assistant for the Athletic Training program’s director of research. 


Travis enjoys mountain biking, playing guitar, snowboarding, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. After completing his Athletic Training Residency, Travis transitioned into a full time ATC role with VSON.
